Young Entrepreneurs Program 2012

November last year I was shortlisted out of about 2000 applicants, to present for the chance of being chosen to go on a 6 week internship to the U.S. The trip would include the following:
  • An all expenses paid trip to Lake Tahoe, California.
  • A 4 week internship at a top company, one similar to my business
  • And 2 entrepreneurship courses through Sierra Nevada Collage, worth 6 credits
So having being shortlisted in November, I had the chance to pitch my new business idea to a panel of judges from IBA-global (the sponsors). Although it was a difficult pitch and I was unsure of the impact it had, I was selected as one of the YEP 3's (13 entrepreneurs from SA) to win this awesome opportunity! What a year 2011 was, I am now even more excited about what 2012 will hold.

I can't wait to launch Bamboo, my new business, with the help of C4cube (the entrepreneurial incubator in Reno that I will be interning at)!
